Sagres is nowadays known to be one of the few places in continental Europe where some pelagic seabird species may be observed. After navigating south, the boat will stop and chum might be used. It is possible to watch in close proximity and photograph some of the rarest species. Depending on the season, we highlight the presence of Wilson’s storm petrel, Manx, Balearic and Great shearwaters, Long-tailed skua or Audouin’s gull, among others that fly over more frequently. This activity will take place on a yacht with a biologist on board.
Bring clothes and shoes adequate to the weather, a jacket and sunscreen. We recommend the use of sea sickness pills to the more sensitive persons. There is free parking available in front of our office.
