A less known activity offering great scientific and educational interest. Bird ringing involves capturing, marking, studying (e.g. measurements) and subsequent release of birds. A good opportunity to see at very close quarters the birds that every year pass through this region!
Participants must bring their cars from the meeting point to the bird ringing site. We suggest that participants share cars so that the lowest possible number of vehicles is used.
Participants in this activity must respect the following rules to ensure the birds wellbeing:
- Keeping a safe distance of 2 meters around the mist netting area and not running near the nets;
- Parents should help their children following these rules.
Monitors may ask the participants who do not comply with these rules to leave the area, to ensure birds safety.
