Change the world, one island at a time

The Waste Valorization Cooperative was born from the desire of a group of women, from Príncipe Island, to make a difference. Allied to the Príncipe Foundation, they started a business to recover organic waste in compost, and glass in jewels and jewelry.

This group, which previously had a relative impact on the Natural Park, began to guarantee their livelihood through the recovery of waste, and 10 families on the Island, managed by this admirable women, showed that sustainable and responsible development of local communities is possible in balance with nature conservation.
