We'll get to know some important habitats of Sagres’ region, its fauna and flora, paying special attention to birds. We'll also discuss the value of protected habitats of directives and other habitats, vital to nature conservation. Finally, we will recognize the value of traditional grazing and greet shepherds, typical of this area, given their vital contribution to the maintenance of ecosystems, important to many priority bird species such as Little-bustard, Red-billed Chough and many others.
Participants need to bring their cars to the starting point of the field trip. The guide suggests to gather in small groups in order to use the lowest possible number of vehicles. Bring hiking boots, water, a small snack for the morning and birdwatching equipment.
