Listening to nocturnal migration

Listening to nocturnal migration - Full

Come and try your luck with us, listening for flight calls of birds migrating at night. The Sagres area has had an important role in studies of nocturnal migration, being the location for most recordings in a new guide to nocturnal flight calls produced by Magnus Robb, Lukas Pelikan and The Sound Approach. In this session Magnus will explain how he works, as well as helping to point out and identify flight calls of any migrants, recording them and showing how the sounds appear as sonagrams on his computer.

If you want to know more about "Nocmig" and it's results, subscribe also the lecture about this subject, on october 3, at 6pm-7pm.

This activity is facilitated by Magnus Robb.
