Come and learn about the small creatures that inhabit the bottom of Algarve's streams, the so-called benthic macroinvertebrates, which range from insect larvae to small crustaceans, as well as other groups of animals. In this activity we will demonstrate the methodology used in their inventory and we will also explain how these small invertebrates help us monitor the ecological quality of the water bodies of Algarve's creeks.
Bring water, hat and sunscreen. If possible, bring high rain boots or adequate footwear to walk in streams.
