Discovering Plankton - Canceled

Plankton are at the base of the food chain, which makes them extremely important in marine systems. In this activity we intend to collect, observe and identify under the microscope phytoplankton (microalgae) and zooplankton (fish and crustaceans' larvae, and others) existing in the bay of Burgau beach.

The activity will take place as follows:

1. Introduction to the theme (Art & Science Place Burgau)
2. Collection of Plankton with net in the bay of Burgau (praia de Burgau - distance around 250m)
3. Sample preparation and observation (Art & Science Place Burgau)
