Silheta-Tonel between millions of years
In a walk between the beaches of Silheta and Tonel it is possible to observe the nature of the border between the Middle Jurassic (175 - 161 million years) and the Upper Jurassic (161 - 145 million years). In the transition between these two beaches, the boundary between the limestone layers of the Middle Jurassic (Cilheta) and the layers of the Upper Jurassic (Tonel) is observed.
