Swallow and Swift ID

Swallow and Swift ID

Swallows, martins and swifts are birds extraordinarily adapted to an aerial lifestyle. Their pointed wings, forked tails and acrobatic flights allow them to catch the insects on which they feed in flight. However, despite all these similarities, swallows, martins and swifts are very different, and are not genetically related. In this workshop, besides learning how to distinguish swallows and martins from swifts, you will also learn how to identify all the species of swallows, martins and swifts that occur in Portugal!
