Leanne Byrom

Leanne is a local artist based in Silves. Originally from Zimbabwe, she has always had a love of nature and animals, preferring to spend her time outdoors. Her art is inspired by the way it connects her with nature and the environment and her goal with the art workshops at this year's festival is to share and inspire others to enjoy nature, birdlife and marine life through creating their own art.

Leanne holds a Diploma in Painting & Drawing from the London College of Art and has also studied Pet Portraiture with them. She is part of several Algarve art groups and her work is exhibited and held in private collections in Portugal and the UK. Having been painting and drawing for over 20 years, she now teaches pastel art workshops in Alcantarilha each week as well as exhibiting and being available for commissions.
